February 3, 2012Social Media Contest Results! | Houston Photographer
January 2, 2012Remember this contest that we offered all of our 2012 wedding clients that booked with us before 12/31? Well, basically it was a social media contest where we asked our couples to share JCP with all of their friends and family and get as many people as they could to interact with us via our Facebook Fanpage, our blog and Twitter. Which ever couple had the most interactions won and will get their wedding photographed by us absolutely FREE! Well, it’s been a crazy 5 months watching our social media outlets grow and expand with new fans and interactions! It was a seriously tight race between first and second place but we’re glad to announce that with 20,582 points the winners are……
Ali and Louis for their wedding on March 18, 2012!
So, what exactly does this mean for them?! They will be refunded their initial deposit of $1000 that confirmed their wedding date on our schedule AND they will not have to pay the remaining balance of the wedding coverage portion of the collection that they booked! All in all, they will have their wedding photographed for FREE! Everyone loves free! Congratulations you guys, we know how much time and effort you put into the contest and we are forever grateful! Enjoy the savings!
Be sure to congratulate them by clicking the Facebook ‘like’ button below!
We’re thinking about doing another contest like this the second half of 2012 for couples getting married in 2013! If so, we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated!
Pin ItWelcome to our weekly blog feature, Tip-sy Tuesdays! Every Tuesday you can come HERE to get our tips and advice for what makes a wedding easy to photograph – from a professional photographer’s point of view. When you think about it, your wedding photography is the only thing that you have left when everything is said and done. It’s the only thing that will take you back to that special day and make it seem real again. So, why not choose things for your wedding that will look good AND photograph well? Just have an AH-HA moment? Got ya thinkin’, didn’t I? That’s the point!
A beautiful wedding alter can really add something special and unique to your ceremony images. I mean, just look at these images below! Wow! When planning our own wedding, I totally over looked our ceremony decor…I figured our ceremony was only 20 minutes long and why spend so much time and money decorating it?! Well, I wish I had put a tad more thought into it because our ceremony site had so much potential! A little something extra would have looked more elegant and beautiful. Thinking back, I wonder what was I thinking? I mean, the ceremony is the entire reason for the celebration at the reception…It should have been even more beautiful than everything else!
I am IN LOVE with these alters that I gathered from Pinterest. Oh my, if I ever show up to a wedding with an alter half as beautiful as these, I might just die from photographer excitement! These alters really make the images special and is the centerpiece to the entire ceremony…aside from the bride and groom, of course! Some of them even show the personalities of the couples and it is definitely obvious the look some were trying to get across. Looking at these images, they seem to set the tone for what to expect at the reception…I would love to see what the reception decor was like for each of these!
